'having or showing dogged determination not to change one's attitude or position on something, especially in spite of good reasons to do so.

I have been told that I am a stubborn person. Personally I don't think that I am. The other day I went to a dessert shop with my sister. While eating my not-so-great concrete cake , a conversation topic blossomed. Even though it was a topic that was quite close to us (physically and emotionally) things you would call it... a little bit heated.

I understand that if you have a point and want to get it across, do so. But don't try and enforce your ideas and opinions onto me. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, but in that conversation as I was listening to her I felt as if I was talking to a brick wall. How do you deal with someone that doesn't want to listen? My answer is that you don't! Just give up and wave your white flag. Surrender my friend and thank me, later.

I would like to describe myself as a mediator. I like to see the good in people and like to understand both sides of a story in order to calculate my opinion. I feel like in order to gain perspective in a situation, you have to take yourself out of it. When conversing with my sister, she was very passionate about her point, yes she was direct, but she was closer to the situation than myself. I wish there were more people like myself, for I am a Rory Gilmore in a world of Paris Geller's.
